It was several years ago..
I was sitting on the tail of my mentor’s
pick up truck enjoying an iced coffee on
the first sunny day of Spring when out of
my mouth came an outrageous statement.
“I am gonna have a PBS special”
I’m gonna be like Wayne Dyer and Susie Orman!
My mentor let out a deep laugh and said..
OK…
And how do you plan on making that happen?
(He already know I was delusional so he played along)
And then on the side of Route 59 in West Nyack NY
I started to ramble psychotically about the future…
About how America and the world for that matter was going
to go into a tail spin in the coming years as bewildered people
come to realize that our whole world is changing in a way
that they just weren’t brought up to understand.
Instead of worrying about their jobs being out sourced to
India they would have to worry about their jobs being out
sourced to robots and computers and even ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE (yes..androids) and people were gonna need
someone to help them find their way through all this futuristic
growth that was going to EXPLODE right before their very eyes…
And I KNEW that the person was ME….
was the training ground for my GREAT ASSIGNMENT
and that I KNEW that this was my DESTINY…
To help America in her time of need.
Well…..
He sat there and looked at me and shook his head.
And he asked me…
Where did you just go Diane?
You were in an altered state.
As I regained my composure and the glaze
wore off I wondered…
Where the heck did that come from?
Was it divine spirit flowing through me?
Or was I just NUTS???
Not sure..but what I do know is that was
the first time I had this thought about what I was
really supposed to be doing with my “voice” and I
knew that it wasn’t my time to do it just yet but
that SOMETHING was coming.
Fast forward to 2011.
I am introduced to a man named Brendon Burchard
who was one of the many “guru’s out on the internet.
I think ok…another launch..another dude selling
another TWO GRAND product…
Okey dokey…
PASS
But this time there was something different.
I could not stop watching him.
His energy was so different than all the other GURUS
and he was selling a product that was right up my alley
so I said what the heck….
Let me get it and I will also promote it so I can earn a
few bucks…couldn’t hurt..right???
So I get the product and I start the training and then
what arrives in the mail but an extra package from
Brendon which contains…GUESS WHAT…
HIS PBS SPECIAL!!!
And all off a sudden I became OBSESSED with this guy.
A real live person that I could potentially access
who has actually
done what I KNOW I was born to do!So I started to plot and plan about how I was gonna get
to talk to him without being perceived as one of the
zillion “wanna be’s’ that attack him on a daily basis.
I had to get him to see me as a peer and the only
way I could do that was to get some one I know that was on
his level to introduce me properly.
I was all set to go out to his event in San Jose last Fall
I had my plan in place and then…
BOOM…
We had a hurricane.
Yes..NO KIDDING…
Hartford Connecticut(which is NOT on the shoreline)
got hit with the worst storm in ages
Gushing rivers of water running down the main
thoroughfares of my town…
People were literally BOATING on Route 72!
There was NO WAY I was gonna get to Brendon’s event.
My whole plan was destroyed.
It sucked.
But it it was what it was.
So I gave up and figured that maybe my
psychotic delusion was just that.
A fantasy never to be realized.
I tucked it away and went on about my life…
Until three weeks ago when I was in Peterborough England
doing a seminar with my buddy Daegan Smith…The King
Of Never Calling a Lead…
I said hey Daegan…heard you are speaking at
Eric Worre’s MLM event.
Looks like fun.
Who else will be there?
And he said…Jonathan Budd….David Wood…
and then he paused and said …Let me look
And he turned around and went to his Mac to bring
up the event website and as it pulled up I saw …
Holy Cow…

Somehow…some way…MLM Maestro Eric Worre had
convinced the Guru Of the Gurus…
The new Tony Robbins as Brendon had become…
to speak at his MLM event.
I was STUNNED.
And all of a sudden my psychotic delusion came
back into focus and I was on the hunt again.
I looked at Daegan with BIG EYES and said
Hey Dae…If I fly out would you introduce me to Brendon?
He said..sure..but I don’t even know him.
I said..NO PROB. Just introduce me and I will
take care of the rest….
And so it was SET!!!
I was finally gonna meet Brendon and get to talk to him
about how I could go about pursuing my fantasy.
I was super jacked up
But then I got home from England…and I was EXHAUSTED and
I thought to myself..
You can’t travel this much…
You are a HOUSEWIFE.
You have an event to speak at this weekend and there
is NO WAY you can leave the family and head off to Vegas
not once but twice in a month.
So I dropped the idea and didn’t even DARE bring up
going to Vegas twice to my husband as I knew he would
think I was INSANE.
So with regret…I headed to Vegas for my speaking gig
knowing I would not be back to meet Brendon
But then you will NEVER BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED.
Eric Worre, the even organizer himself, came up to me and said HI…
and told me I just HAD to come to the event.
It was just surreal…a guy who I had never met who
knew EXACTLY who I was…saying come on out Diane!
I sighed as I even contemplated asking my hubby if he
minded if I jetted across the country yet again but I
had this thing nagging at me and when I feel a feeling I
am like a dog with a bone…I just can’t put it down.
The whole ride home from Vegas I negotiated with myself
as I KNEW I had to go to that event and meet Brendon
but I also know I had been gone for 15 days this month already.
I thought and I thought and I thought…
If only I could GUARANTEE that Brendon would take an
interest in me then it would be worth the trip.
How in the world could I wing that???
What could I do to make this happen???
And then..
Divine intervention came…
In my inbox I got the notice…
Brendon was launching his new book.
And he was asking all of his former customers to help
out and promote the book.
And IT HIT ME…
If I became one of his top promoters he would
KNOW ME INSTANTLY when I was introduced to him
and BOOM!!!!! I would get the FACE TIME I needto get some direction on what my next step is…So as far as I am concerned…
My DELUSIONAL FANTASY may not be so
delusional after all….
I mean come on…
What are the chances of the Universe lining up circumstances
like this if this wasn’t meant to me????
Right?
So I have done my part and booked my plane ticket and room..
And now I am asking you…
